The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable social media following
The young golfer can count on numerous prominent cheerleaders as she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses multiple courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially told me to compete and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in only three events this year and maintains the 461st position in AJGA standings.
But she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He advised me to play, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly among the next generation.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and just introduced her own fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
